EXSIM - Advanced Race Simulators

We are delighted to announce our new Partnership with EXSIM, Advanced Race Simulators. Not only are EXSIM supporting Elliot's Ginetta Junior race program but, in conjunction with RPM, we will soon be opening a High Tech Race Simulation Centre in our Knockhill Showroom.

This Year were preparing and supporting Tom Dailey's 4/4 Sport competition in the Aero Racing Morgan Challenge and Andy Smith's Plus 8 which he is campaigning in various rounds of the SMRC Classic Sports and Saloon Championship and Aero Racing Morgan Challenge.

2011

This is our busiest year for RPM Motorsport as we have been preparing 43 MOG, a famous Morgan Challenge Class +8 with 385bhp, for Russell to race in selected Masters and Aero Racing Morgan Challenge rounds.

In addition, OSU 424, RPMs' 1969 +8 Moss box, also being campaigned by Russell at several prestigeous HSCC rounds and occasionally in SMRC events at Knockhill.

It has been a phenominal season so far with both Morgan Plus 8 race cars. 43MOG has won 9 races, 7 of which have been in Aero Racing Morgan Challenge events, including the added bonus of picking up many fastest laps and setting a new Morgan lap record. Here are a break down of our results.

RPM Motorsport team are pleased with the results from Silverstone - Russell had a good start with 38 cars on track, he must have got into the zone as he powered in at 1st and also took fastest lap. The team were racing at Thruxton couple of weekends before hand and came in 2nd, glad we are back to winning form!
 

 

Our latest race with 43MOG was at Oulton Park, qualified just 0.17's of a second behind Keith Ahlers, a fellow Plus 8 racer. Russell then had a titanic battle with Keith for 30 minutes in damp/drying conditions, lap by lap he was gaining on his competition, as they approached the first corner on the last lap, Russell grabbed the chance and passed Keith with both rear wheels locked up. This was an outstanding win for team RPM.

 

Our blue Plus 8 OSU424 has had very few outings this season, first race Russell managed a 3rd, as there was a small issue with the car, however this was easily rectified for it's next match at Silverstone, qualified 6th out of 60 cars, he had a real battle with 5 cars, passing, re passing and finally took lead for 2nd time on the last corner of the race and 4 of them crossed the line .7 of a second apart, with Russell taking the win in his stride.

2009

Russell in his mighty 335bhp +8 won the Scottish Classic & Saloon Car Championship and become Champion of Champions

Our Team headed up by Macky built and prepared a similar +8 for Andy Smith who in his first year won several races and finished a very impressive fourth overall in the Championship.

Russell took a year off racing – to open our new Morgan Dealership

Another Sabatical - to support his son Elliot become NKRA National Karting Champion
