Last of the true gentleman
In a car world full of rough tough rogues, he stood out as a kind man full of dedication for taking the work of his father to the next generation.
He succeeded with grace and honour. Good luck Charles!

Condolences to the Morgan Family
My sincere condolences to Charles & the Morgan family. I met Peter three times at Morgan Factory in 1987, 1995. And at the third time, I met Peter with my family and spent a wonderful time in 1996. It is out of doubt that Peter is a man of character and perfect manners, and he is still giving us a beautiful dream in the automotive industry. My 4/4-4 seater was built in 1975, all my family members love 4/4 very much. And we love Peter forever!

Belated condolences
In 1959, I was one of two cofounders of Morgan Owners' Group of NYC (MOG). We invited Peter to our first annual banquet, and he came! Peter mentioned to me that it was his first trip to the US, and I asked why he had never visited before. His reply, "Daddy always said that if you can afford a trip to America, you are charging too much for your motor." Simple, straightforward, unassuming, clear: the man, the tradition, the motor.

Condolences to the family
I met Peter Morgan in 1959 or '60 at a meeting of the Northern CA Morgan Club in Sausalito. I'd already ordered my Drophead. I asked him whether Michelin ZX tires would be good for my car. He said, "We like to put stiffer tyres on the cars; I'd recommend Dunlop RS-5s." I agreed, he took a piece of paper from his pocket, wrote "Knepfer's car, RS-5s" and returned the paper to his pocket.

I arrived in Malvern Link on a Sunday, and MM was closed. I could see my car through the window! Soon a man appeared, and said he would get Mr. Morgan for me. He soon arrived, and personally delivered the wonderful red and black Drophead to me!

Wonderful car, wonderful man!

As a young naval officer in the late '60s, I pined for a drophead coupe. Sadly the closest I got were letters from and signed by Peter Morgan and D.J. Day. Sorry to read of the loss.

My Granddad Knew him
My Grandads name was Walter Darling he worked at Morgans when they first began, he was a sheetmetal worker, he was very proud to work at Morgans and always spoke of Mr Morgan with great respect, he met my Grandmother while walking to work from the station that brought him from Worcester, working at Morgans and knowing Mr Peter Morgan was the highlight of his life, Mr Morgans death marks the end of an era, another link with the past and of Britains Motor industry has gone.

When I bought my basket case Series I 4/4 in 1971 I could n't afford the new panels from the factory, I was just an apprentice engineer. Mr. Morgan let me have them for the cost of the materials because he wanted to help me keep one of his old cars alive. He thanked me. What a good man!

Not Forgotten
My belated sadness of the passing of Peter. I remember him well when in the dim and distant past, late 60's when I was Secretary of the Morgan 4/4 Club as it was then known.
The club had 120 members and a handfull of enthusiasts from the States.
May the company and club continue to keep the marque going.

Peter Morgan certainly was a personality. In Germany, his cars are legends, and I think his merits are to continue a very special way to build real sports wagons.
Some years ago I read about Morgan and Peter Morgan in the german magazine "auto motor und sport". There was a passage about customers who came to the factory in Malvern Link. Some of them complained about the quality of the roofs, and Peter Morgan answered: "Sorry, never heard of this." If it's true, I admire him; if not, I admire him, too.

His memory lives through his cars
My sincere condolences to the family and his great team. I visited the factory in 1972 at age 20 and placed my order for a Plus 8, painted in blue and yellow. I met the great man, showed him a photo of my mother's 1950s 4-seater morgan, which saddly was sold by then, and begged for a discount on the grounds of being old customers! After a short discussion with Mr Day, he granted my request. On 1st April 1974 I personally picked my car from the factory and in July I drove it all the way to Athens and by boat to Cyprus where I still enjoy it. His dream kept a great tradition alive and for this, his memory will stay alive.

Morgan lives on
For many years the Morgan +4 was powered by Standard/Triumph engines and the two companies must have worked closely together. The committee and members of the Standard Motor Club wish to pass on our sincere condolences to the Morgan family and we want to look forward - we wish you every success in the future. The Standard Motor Company, which would have been 100 years old this year, is saddly no longer making cars but we hope that Morgan will reach their centenary and beyond. Best wishes to you.

Peter's Legacy
My thoughts and wishes are with the Morgan family at this sad time, only God will regard Peter as highly as those of us he has left behind.
I never met Peter, but he has a place in my life with my 69 4/4. The car is owned by my son, Harvey who is now 6, and is eagerly awaiting his 21st birthday when the car will be 50 and the formal handover will take place.
So Peter's influnce in my life will be equal in my sons life - The Legacy of a great man continues.

My very best wishes
