Say it isn't so!
I've heard the Plus 8 is being phased out in 2004. I've loved your cars since I first saw them at the San Francisco Auto Show in 1976 and the Plus 8 is my favorite. Say it isn't so!

1st place at Knockhill.
Many, many congratulations to Neil Cunningham on winning at Knockhill. Few people realise what an amzing achievement that is for such a young team and relatively untried car. Fantastic!

Dreaming
Morgan cars are the finest example of british motor engineering and though I accept I will probably never own one,I can dream.

That was sooo unfair that u are not racing in Le Mans, maybe the racers are scared incase they are destroyed (which they would have been) by the areo 8. You guys at the factory have done an amazing job with the car and the other companys should look and see what you guys are made of. I hope this set back has only made you want fight even more and not give up. A victory i believe is in the pipeline as you all deserve it. I hope to see you racing in le mans next year you and you will show the other teams that Morgan can not be put down. All the best guys, give urselfs a pat on the back for the job u have done. stephen L

I concur with David (S) - how did the Liverpool crowd get their place? The ACO should at least be asked - espceillay after Keith et al performance at Snetterton!

Shock
I can't believe Morgan has been rejected for the Le Mans.
A reason would help satisfy astonishment!
Please race internationally to show the world what a great car MORGAN is. You will
have much support. The development Morgan has put in to the project should not go un-noticed by fans of this wonderful marque. Good luck.

LETS LOBBY THE ACO
Just heard the dreadful news that the Morgan entry has not been accepted for 2003. I've already emailed the ACO with my thoughts. Maybe just maybe if they receive enough messages from angry and disappointed supporters they might change their ******* French minds!!! I guess it's worth a try anyway - the address is aco@lemans.org

RIGHT ON!
I think it is great that Morgan is really punching at lemans this is the year to make those Porsches be set in their place. MORGAN SHOULD GIVE PORCSHE A RUN FOR THEIR MONEY!And prove that British Enginering can step up to the germans and what ever the Gt class can throw at Morgan. So thats why I say right on!
You folks at Morgan got it going on! KEEP IT UP!!!

we whooped and whooped!
Five of us stood at Arnage and raised our hands in the air and whooped "moggy!" everytime it came past for the first four hours or so. It was incredible to be cheering a Morgan at Le Mans. I woke to hear that the Moggy was still going but was saddened on my arrival at the pits to see it limping down the pit lane with flames from the exhaust.

18 hours is however, an amazing acheivement. If the Aero 8 is there next year then so am I.

Nice one DeWalt, you sponsored the correct team!

Great to know you`ve improved your web page, I love cars and yours the most to remain the classic shapes, could you send some more information cause`here in mexico is very little what we can know about you, I do know that Morgan equals to Excellence.

Just try next year
It's a shame you only made the 18th hour, but it was a good attempt. I'm a recent Morgan convert, thanks to my boss. Now I just adore Morgans. My boss use to race a black '74 +8, I drove it a quite abit and I became a convert. Just love the look of the Aero8, so much so I wish I could afford one of my own. Well work hard on development of the engine for next year and GOOD LUCK.

Morgan Aero 8 looks good!
My son and I noticed your new Aero 8 in the August 2002 issue of Motor Trend magazine. It is an exciting automobile. My son, who is almost 10, wonders if you might build a 2+2 version so he would have a place to sit.

Many Thanks!!
To the Morgan Team for the experience. Also, to Stefan and the guys who kindly allowed 17 idiots all dressed in Dinner Jackets, Dress shirts, bow ties and shorts on to their coach for a ride into Le Mans town centre for the Parade Friday evening. Hello to David (Bradbury?) in the pit crew and to all of you who were so hospitable to us. We appreciated your generosity and "The Boys" will be back next year to lend our support for a true Le Mans entrant. Many thanks once again.

Paul Glyde

Congratulations to DeWalt and Morgan. You brought real emotion, good humour and team spirit to a race potentially dominated by dull 'grey' giants. We were with you in the Grandstand facing your pit, round the track during the afternoon and evening, listening out for your distinctive sound and on the Mulsanne straight during the early hours, delighted in your endurance. And in the end the bumblebee stung the prancing horses and carried on. Brilliant - please be there in 2003, we will.

Comment from Holland:Thumbs up!
After 40 years of absence it is no shame to not finish the gruelling 24 hours. I was on the track enjoying every time the "Bumble bee" (it's hard to oversee!)went by. I hope you come back next year, and I'm shure 2003 will be a finish year! So come on boy's start sorting out all the little things that went wrong this year, you only have 355 days left!

bravo !!
I,m french, ACO member and i was in front of your stand during the 24 hours of le Mans 2002, i'm sorry you've not finished the race but i saw your determination during the race, i saw the banner "thank you for all our supporters" 2003 ? when you closed your stand, i hope you'll be here next year, but my preference goes for the Oreca team cars of hugues de Chaunac, 5th and 6th at the race. At the next year !!!!! courage

Sorry I missed it!
Well, I couldn't keep updated of your progress, as I was at a steam rally with my dads steam roller. I love Morgans, and was hoping for the best. Still not quite sure what happened, only found out today that we didnt finish. Hard luck, brilliant effort. Better luck in the future. I'm sure all Morgan enthusiasts will agree that you gave it a grat shot. A big cheer for you all. (I'm only 16, but I still wanted Morgan to do well).

Felicitations!
Dear No73, the De Walt team and all at Pickersleigh Rd.

Just a short note of congratulations for a stunning return to Le Mans !

It was a fantastic performance and a wonderful tribute to all those involved in the development and building of the Aero 8.

I think it is safe to say that the 'little Morgan's' exploits touched and won the hearts of the majority of the 220,000 spectators there, myself included - the eighteenth hour was indeed a sad one, but by then the statement had long been made.

So, "félicitations" - I am sure Steve Lawrence now realises that the gearbox landing on his head was worth it.. !

Best wishes

Home and tired
Arrived home, hot and tired to find all this excitment on internet. Began to feel I missed out not being able to see the pitcam, then a smile creeps over my face as I remember the noise of the "bumblebee" every 4.30ish minutes coming buzzing round Arnage corner in the early hours of Sunday morning!!
We were camping with 40+ Mogs at Expo - we were all so proud of your fantastic efforts,18 hours was truly amazing. Thankyou to all at Morgan, RSS & DeWalt for making what is always a fantastic weekend into something really special this year.
Extra thanks to Richard x 2 and Steve for signing my T-shirt during the parade on Friday!!
Is the nickname "bumblebee" - which we saw on the Le Mans site - one the team are happy with? - Thinking of a theme for our visit next year, see you there!

English Support from the Grandstands
Firstly well done to the Morgan Team for a great effort in the 24 hr Le Mans race.
I am one of the Nine English supports that were singing to the pit crew and team from the grandstand during the early hours of the morning. It was great to see the team joining in with a few nifty dance moves. We all hope to see you back in 2003 we will be there to cheer you on.

Best wishes to the team.

We Frenchies like Morgan
I was going to have a lunch in south of Paris with friends, and I found myself in the 24 Heures without having prepared it.I didn't regret it and the Morgan was really the car I cheered every lap(in the Arnage turn).
I'll be here next year, and I'm sure you'll do it!!

Dr David Price
Thank you
Thank you for the most amazing weekend at Le Mans,an emotional roller coaster. The Aero 8 was a dream to drive down to Le Mans touching speeds I am not going to admit to .... but still in comfort. Then the theatre of the race and the huge work and humour of the team, a welcome contrast to the clinical approach of Audi. Morgans have recaptured some of the spirit of Le Mans which was confirmed by the appreciation of the crowd and organisers. The Aero 8 has now established its credibility. Thank you Charles and Mathew and Chris and all the team for the weekend of a lifetime.

Willhire memories come flooding back
Having raced a Morgan in four Willhire 24 Hour races I know the pleasure of winning and the pain of retiring late in the race. It was marvellous to see the Aero do so well. Congratulations to DeWalt who put on a great show (thanks for the football) and put their money into the correct team.
