An enthusiastic, innovative and self-motivated person is required for a Knowledge Transfer project between Morgan Motor Company Limited and Coventry University.
Located in Malvern, West Midlands, Morgan Motor Company Ltd is an innovative British sport car manufacturer; they have operated in a niche automotive sector since their launch in 1910.
This KEEN funded project is an exciting & innovative opportunity, you will be working with leading staff members from both Morgan Motors and Coventry University to procure and implement an enterprise wide Management Information System that is integrated with existing electronic data such as the CAD/PLM systems and the existing web based capability. This role is a 21 month, fixed-term contract. The Affiliate will be formally employed by Morgan Motor Company Ltd and they will be based at the company premises in Malvern Link and subject to its employment practices and conditions of work.
: A recent graduate (or graduating this year) with a degree in a Manufacturing Systems Engineering or Business Information Systems related discipline. A post-graduate qualification in these areas supported by a wider range of first degrees such as Mechanical Engineering or Product/Engineering Design would also be appropriate
The successful applicant must have a good degree and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to staff at all levels requiring a high standard of both verbal and written English. Candidates need to be good team players and flexible enough to meet fast-paced changes in a dynamic business environment.
Good interpersonal skills are required as the candidate will, in due course, be expected to roll out use of new systems across the business units.
The candidate must possess:
• A good working knowledge of MS Office functionality
• Strong abilities associated with time and project management.
• S/he must be a highly motivated individual and able to demonstrate a capacity for analytical & innovative thinking.
A good working knowledge of some of the following software would be beneficial, although not essential:
• Database Applications such as SQL
• Report Writing Tools such as Crystal Reports
