The Great British Asparagus Run St Georges Day 23rd April 2008

Presenting a bunch of asparagus from Evesham to the House of Commons, Dixon Smith drove the  Lord Lieutenant of Worcestershire, Mr Michael Brinton in a Morgan Roadster , driving away from Evesham to the sound of a brass band playing Elgar's Land Of Hope and Glory.

A presentation of asparagus on a Royal Worcester Porcelain platter was presented to Andrew Rossindell, MP, chairman of the All Party St George's Day Group in time for the Loving Cup ceremony.
