Highlights, from a Morgan perspective, of the 2nd round of the

"Congratulations to Jean Pierre Jabouillle and the whole of the AutoGT team for their performance in the European FIA GT2 Championship in 2009. During the Centenary year Morgan sports cars won both the first rounds at Silverstone and throughout the year both of the Morgan Aero SuperSports have been running consistently in the top five cars of a grid of 35 of the best sports cars in the world. Without a controversial penalty imposed by the FIA Morgan might have been in with a chance of winning the Championship overall. The results has given a boost to the sales success of the Morgan Aero SuperSports, the first examples of which will be delivered to customers in 2010. The production car is very similar to the race car and uses an identical chassis. The 2009 Morgan race results are proof that you do not need the massive budget of a big manufacturer to design, develop and construct one of the fastest and best handling sports cars on the planet."
Silverstone 2009
Dimitri Enjalbert and Johan-Boris Scheier celebrated the maiden win for the AutoGT Racing Morgan Aero SuperSports in the opening round of the FIA GT3 European Championship at Silverstone. The Morgan Aero Super Sport of Maxime Martin and Gael Lesoudier scored a lights to flag victory in the second round of the 2009 FIA GT3 European Championship at Silverstone. The Morgan Aero SuperSports, prepared and run by the French AutoGT Racing team, dominated the weekend. For Press cuttings click here
